mosh3- i ttly 100% agree with you! in this day and age, especially in shidduchim everyone thinks they are perfect and deserve perfect in return which is why i am so afraid when it comes to telling boys about the diabetes, because in their eyes it is a chisoron when it is 100000000% not!!! people don’t understand it (as i didnt when i was first diagnosed…..)and therefore they don’t know that it is really not a big deal. ( i also think people mix up the two types of diabetes so they might think i brought this onto myself which i most definatly did not….or they could be afraid of passing it down to children which is also very untrue….) i wish we lived in a world where this could be a very “non issue issue.” but society today is scared of the unkown which is why people view it as a negetive. which in turn is why i don’t need every boy knowing about it, even though i am in NO WAY ashamed of it! but in a parsha that already is so into their needs of the “perfect” girl, i don’t want another “imperfecttion” against me… it makes me sick to think of it like that but it’s the way it is!
