reb- going back to the celiac, my daughter is 5 and trying to find a bread the tastes good is almost impossible. i think i bought almost every type of bread even dr. goldmans almond bread (~$14.00) and i ended up eating it. the best ine yet is katz’s white bread, which sometines goes when toasted.
what’s with the thyroid? (it must be tough, i feel for you, my wife knows someone (12th grade)who also has thyroid issues)
cofeefan- if i’m high enough that i get keytones then high is worse. but otherwise i think low is worse
allsgr8- i got the pump about 4 years ago. i say that i am totaly more flexable but you are always connected to something, so sleeping i feel like i am in utero wrapped in an umbilical cord. hidding it can be a little more tricky but workable. it took me a while to get used to it.
i am on a medtronic pump and my kids are on animas. i find that the animas can deliver in smaller increments (1/40 of a unit),where the medronic delivers 1/20 of a unit.
however i go with the medronic because its simpler to use.
