Popa, if the Beis Yosef wouldn’t ask it we would still deal with it, just we’d call it the Me’iri’s Kasha or the Maharal’s Kasha, or anyone else who mentioned this age old Kasha. The Beis Yosef didn’t claim to make this Kasha up, either.
