Where there is one, there may be more. I would call in an exterminator, honestly. I have had to do so three times in the last thirty years, and it was worth EVERY penny. The regular poisons and glue traps are just not enough. I was so terrified of the mice (the school next door broke ground to build a new gym, and we got about a dozen mice as a result), that I lined the doorway to each room in the house with glue traps, figuring (correctly) that if the mice tried to get into a bedroom or the kitchen, they would be caught crossing the threshhold.Thankfully, between the traps and the poison baits, the problem was eradicated within a few days. I have never been so grossed-out in my life! And I cannot stand to see the mice suffer, either, as they try to get free from the glue traps, but they carry disease and filth, and multiply very fruitfully, so I had to just suck it up and deal with it. And in the end, the hubby SHOULD take care of disposing of the remains.
