The only efficient mouse control is either a professional exterminator or a four legged exterminator with whiskers. The four legged one chases them with its very smell, but if it catches one it can deposit its prey anywhere in the house and cause more trouble. The 2 legged exterminator uses chemical and glue baits and also baits the perimeter of the home; the chemical bait he uses was once available under the table in many NY stores (especially haimish ones) but I don’t think they can sell it illegally anymore to unlicensed personnel and get away with it.
