Things taste good without the ketchup. The stuff makes me throw up, and I’m not kidding when I say that I can tell when someone has used ketchup in a recipe. THE ONLY thing I will put ketchup on is a roast, since it tenderises the meat, and I use only enough to rub into the roast before I put it in the oven. AND THAT IS IT.
