Politics? Nobody in their right mind would accept a Weiss ger. I certainly wouldn’t. I wouldn’t give him an aliya in shul, or count him to a minyan, or allow him to marry. I’d probably even allow his wife to remarry without a get.

I assume that was reason enough for the rabbanut
