I am not so sure that James Horner (titanic theme) or Howard Shore (lord of the rings) were ever asked permission. For those of you who know the latter, the second track from the first film is copied note for note as the introduction for ‘sameach’, albeit with a different tempo and the last bar changed to lead into the song.
