Is it just me or does this ad for the Villas near Yerushalayim strike others the wrong way also?
1) Is that really a Jewish “dream”? Is that we Yidden aspire to?To live in a a beautiful house? Since when are our dreams based on such Gashmius?? Does the house come with a lawn, a dog and 2.5 kids? Are we supposed to wash our cars outside of this house every Sunday?
2) Are we Americans first or Yidden first? Why do we care about American Dreams??
I don’t think we should live in slums or shacks either, but I think to describe a beautiful house as an American Dream on a Frum Website sounds a little out of place.

the ad just saying that u dont have to give up the comfort that we have in america if u want to move to e”y.i think its an american community in e”y.
It may not be a top priority, but I think everyone aspires to be successful and have a nice home, car etc. it’s ok to admit we live in America and want to live comfortably with our families. Even if we are hidden first we are still Americans. I understand your point though, I just don’t take offense at these sorts of things.
