    Anyone know of any Rishonim, Acharonim – or any period of time – who’s name was Shalom?

    I know of one, R’ Shalom Sharabi. (Rav Elyahsiv was R’ Yosef Shalom, I’m looking for only Shalom).

    In Tanach there are a few Shaloms. But the nikkud is different.

    I think that Yitzchak Rabin was also known as Shalom Chaver.

    Was R’ Shalom Shachna first and last name or first and second?

    I read that he was known as Shachna ben Yosef which seems to indicate the latter

    In this week’s Tanchuma there is a Rebbe Yehuda bar Shalom.
