Did anyone read the article in the 5 towns Jewish times about Eidah charedis wanting to ban all women from the Kotel? There were a few interesting lines that I don’t think I can repeat here, but confused me; about why kind of people the Kotel is attracting. Thoughts?

That’s ridiculous. Nobody wants to ban all women from the kosel.

    I saw the article too.

Reminds me of the following statement, How many people became shomer shabbos because a stone was throne at them

The issue is banning a group of non-Orthodox women who want to use the mens section, often immodestly dressed (by our standards – by Tel Aviv/Manhattan standards they are overdressed), engaging in behaviors we consider to be lewd (singing in front of men).

They are trying to get control of the kossel transferred to non-Orthodox Jews and to have it run as a secular shrine rather than as a Torah site.

I found the article. It does not say that at all.

The eda would like the “Women of the Wall” group banned. That is a specific group who come davka to the kosel to push their anti-torah agenda in the most provocative way, so as to get the most publicity and to anger the most people.

So, like I said: That’s ridiculous. Nobody wants to ban all women from the kosel.

We really can conceive of this as another good reason to not say lashon hara–because you likely misunderstood the story to begin with.

It wasnt just in the 5 towns news.

A charedi group is upset that they are taking control of the Kotel area from them.

The name of the group is Edah Haredit.

Which is not remotely what you were claiming before. Who are you trying to fool here? Why are you lying to us?

I said I saw it elsewhere not just the 5 towns news and I posed more information about the group from the “elsewhere”.

The newsource that first reported it was a secular israeli site (I think). not the 5 towns or the “failled” site

What is the lie or fool

The lie is that the article DOES NOT SAY that they want to BAN ALL WOMEN!

And you come on here, and say that you read the article, agreeing with the OP. And you continue even after I corrected the misunderstanding.

So I ask you: Just who are you trying to fool?
