What do you do when you are disappointed about something that you got your hopes up about?

I was finally ready to take a big step in my life (with the help of some people I thought cared and that I thought I was close to) but it seems to not be working out as planned. This was a huge decision for me to make and I was finally getting used to the idea when the other side backed down. Yes, they have every right to back down and I am in no way blaming them. I’m actually blaming myself for getting my hopes up (again).

Anyway, I am trying not to let it bring my mood down but I’m having a hard time with that.

Any ideas of what I can do that has worked for you, or just any ideas you have that may work.

    Thanks a mil!!

It’s hard, but you have only one direction to go in, and that is FORWARD. I am sorry you are having this challenge, but it is part of life that we will face disappointment more than once. How we carry ourselves after that, defines who we are. Hatzlacha rabba.

I’m assuming “other side” was a hint.

Don’t blame yourself. I think the very idea that you got your hopes up is actually a good thing. It shows that like a normal, happy person, you have dreams. As for the practical, try to keep busy with other things to keep your mind off it until it takes a back seat to daily life.

    Hang in there 🙂
