I think the lack of Menchlichkeit is that they have these parties in the first place. Why do you need them? To make the kids feel good? To have some parents/grandparents left out because of scheduling conflicts?

When I was a kid -parents came to graduations & PTA conferences, nothing more. They weren’t there every Mitvoch & Dornishtag. I think this was invented because some school decided to have more PR than the next & they all followed suit. If we had a Siyum it was basic stuff like cookies and chips and soda, not evey candy under the sun. We only made real Siyumin, not every other week as an excuse to party. If the school wants to have Chumash parties and all this -it should be for the class only, not a PR shindig for the kid’s family. If they want, they can bring in a guest speaker for the class.

I’m surprised that there aren’t more people that agree with me.

OMG!! I actually AGREE with health! Quick, everyone go buy a lotto ticket!!! I think its all a shill for cash. They sent the invitation directly to my parents and included a schnor. Very distasteful.

Ctrl Alt Del -See that? -Jews have more that binds them together than that which breaks them apart.
