February 27, 2012 1:59 pm at 1:59 pm #854411soliekMemberim not a talmud chacham by any stretch of the imagination, so i did what i know: i’m doing purim kiruv 😀
also im not sure what you meant…do you not know the translation of Lo Sachsom Shor B’Disho?
February 27, 2012 3:00 pm at 3:00 pm #854412nishtdayngesheftParticipantSure I know what it means do not muzzle thine ox whilst he is threshing.
The ox would eat the grain while threshing and one would want to put a muzzle on so that ox would not eat into his profit. The Torah said you cannot do that.
It has nothing to do with breathing.

Open air…give me a break…
February 27, 2012 9:38 pm at 9:38 pm #854414🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI thought it was hysterical but I was afraid to say so, in case it wasn’t a joke and I was just too lame to know that.
February 28, 2012 12:13 am at 12:13 am #854415nishtdayngesheftParticipantI was reading quickly on a blackberry. Sorry, I scanned quickly and it wasn’t funny at all, so I didn’t think it was a joke.
Anyway, the lav dchasima is a standard that we learn from. So it is dealt with regularly and is not so far fetched.
You could have said that you would focus on not coveting your friends ox. Or his donkey.
Sheck out Peaceful Valley Donkey Recue if you want to keep that halacha.

it…was a joke…
February 28, 2012 10:47 pm at 10:47 pm #854418Shticky GuyParticipantLast Ellul, my wife, who is very dear to me but worth every penny, was doing what many (most?) women do in the evenings… she was on the phone (to her best friend who happens to be a dikduk morah). These phone calls take place religiously 3 times every day ??? ????? ???????. Sometimes with a long ???? aswell. But never a ?????!
So I gave my wife a note saying that I wish her and her friend a ????? ?????? ????. Obviously she said that I had made a spelling error as ????? is spelled with a ?? not a ???. No I replied. I meant it this way and I hope you figure! After another long discussion they eventually did!
