I feel like a machine without an “off” button.

Does anyone have a cleaning lady who can do Thursday afternoon or Fridays?

    Tehilim 51:4

“Wash me a lot from my avonos and from my chataim purify me”

The Tomer Dvorah teaches us how to be closer to Hashem by acting like Him. Can you imagine even what would happen if Hashem wouldn’t clean us from the tons of aveiros we do everyday.

So too you, must gather your strength and wash your house from its dirt and purify it from its filth every day.

Lo al yedei malach, vlo al yedei shaliach. elah eclipse b’atzmah.

    eclipse: yes

I hired cleaning help twice in my life. The first time, she was excellent. About a month later, I called the agency again and requested the same woman. They sent a different one, much older and slower. Hence, my wariness of agencies.

eclipse, you could wear a surgical mask over your face while she is around and explain that you have a terrible fear of germs.

eclipse: We’ll have her, accessories and all. Cleaning detergents we use greatly overpower any other aroma!

Wake up, feed baby, bathe and dress baby, put baby to sleep, (breath), eat breakfast, get dressed, prepare supper, cleanup, feed baby, change baby, go to work, work, work, work, work, work, pick up baby, feed baby, change baby, eat supper, cleanup, errands, feed baby, change baby, sleep, wake up, feed baby, sleep, wake up, feed baby….

Oh and cook and clean for Shabbos at some point in the blur of days and nights…

How do mothers stay sane?! This problem is a lot more than just lack of cleaning help.

Any practical tips on how to find time to just live and be yourself?

Or you can just reassure me that this is a passing stage and I should just enjoy it because there are so many that wish they can be in my shoes. I can never hear that enough, it has a hard time sticking in my head.

get a cleaning lady , husband help , make time to unwind /go on vacation (even for a day just you and hubby) if possible) but most important? a sense of humor. make that two senses of humor

wait ’till she’s as old as mine… not even walking yet mashing, mushing, tearing the place apart, drawer by drawer, shelf by shelf… (she climbs chairs, stools)

and KA”Y the joy… Im Yirtza HaShem BY ALL!!!

how lucky you are to be busy with this. preparing for all your nachas children & husband. (better then doing stressful things people have to go through to make ends meet)

may everyone be blessed to be busy taking care of their home and family. for that is the REAL job of the wife while the husband is the supporter.
