I’m interested in pursuing a Masters Degree in Education and would greatly appreciate any information on the available programs . I am currently working full time so only programs that cater to those who are employed are of interest to me.

Ive heard about some programs that run on sundays and possibly evenings as well. No online programs please .

Sara Schneirer and TTI both offer what you are looking for but i think that some of the classes are online in both programs.

A family member of mine graduated from Raizl Reit, TTI. It was a great program then and it is becoming more rigorous from what I hear. It is highly recommended to anyone one who needs a masters and holds down a full time job. Classes are only on Sunday.

I know from others who did the Raizel Reit program or Sara Schneirer that yes, you can get a job working for a Jewish school but if you want to work for a non-Jewish private school or for the public school system you might have a harder time since these are not considered a ‘real’ college. I’m not saying whether I agree or not since I never did any research into them but to some they are considered a ‘cop out’. So just do your research before deciding on any one program.

Try Concordia University online. They are an accredited, online master of education program with over 10 concentrations. You can get your degree without having to go to a physical classroom and most of the other students are like you and working full time. – http://education.cu-portland.edu

If you are thinking of using a masters in education to help you to get a job as a principal in a yeshiva day school or high school, you might want to look into what their standards are regarding your standing as a mechanech too.

Bellevue University has one that they offer thru a partnership with Young Israel. It’s part classroom/part online. My sister as well as several friends of mine from Yeshiva have taken it.

getting a master’s is not cheap. you should evaluate whether the raise is worth what it costs to get the degree. Also there is a lot of work involved.
