Do people actually listen to the freezer rules of BMG? Do the rabbis check if people are going on dates before the freezer is unlocked? Do they take attendance during night seder like it’s 9th grade? this isn’t a troll post.
How will someone get engaged if he breaks the freezer rule and finds his bashert?
As far as I am aware, the freezer rule is mostly kept.
Although, I heard the hanhala one put up a sign on the bulletin board a few weeks before tu bshvat that said ???? ???? ???? ????? ???? ???? ????
I have heard of the freezer concept before, but for those of us who don’t know, what is the freezer rules? Just no shidduch dating? Or some other rules as well.

Like I said -if you aren’t going to their Kollel -then do what you want. But if it’s obvious that you broke their rules and want to sit in their Kollel – you can forget about ever getting a Kollel check.

they want the guys to learn undisturbed for a little while (few months..) once they start dating they go out a loot and havta travel into new york and takes a ton of hours away from seder..
BMG makes the rules and if you want to stay there, you have to obey their rules
If you are in middle of dating before you enter BMG you are allowed to continue with that girl.

What is BMG’s official reason for having the freezer? Is it so that the bochorim should fully concentrate on the learning (if so, then why only 6 months?) or is it so that bochorim shouldn’t enroll in BMG mainly because they want a better shidduch?
It makes perfect sense to have a settling in period before getting completely distracted with shidduchim. Other yeshivas have similar policies for college.
