“You left your phone at home”
Apparently, it’s actually been sent to people.
how about “hey, is your phone off?”
it’s not useless. If they left their phone lying around and someone home sees the text, they’ll realize that the owner of the phone left the house.
sdd: Wouldn’t it have been easier to simply have called the phone and then they’ll have heard its ringing?

joseph: that may be easier but this way is more effective because if they heard the phone ringing, they may have just assumed that its owner doesn’t want to take the call but they won’t know s/he left. Also, if they happen to not har it ringing, they lost their chance but a text stays around for longer.
