What has been the response in your communities about the ban.

As Ive mostly read responses online and those people are biased and against the ban.

If the Mods allow can you say if you are more Litvish or Chassidic.

I dont know any Chassidim, but I did speak to Litvish relatives and they were generally not so gung ho about the Asifa.

My friends are almost all very positive about it (all that went to it are), and as I mentioned, a few have made kabbalos regarding filters. I wouldn’t call it a “ban”; it’s actually a psak halacha, based on the gemara in Bava Basra.

I’m “Litvish” in the sense that I learned in “regular” (whatever that means) yeshivos. (I was not actually born in Lithuania.)

In order to comply with the ban; I am now forbidden to listen to shuirs on torahanytime.com, look up the latest kosher food news on oukosher.org or book flights/hotels online taking advantage of discounted online rates….Regardless, I think I still will 🙂

Lets start by saying that ban is not the right word. Severely restricted is probably more like it.

Litvish was just used for anyone who is Charedi but non Chassidic Lakewood types
