You know, you really appreciate their intelligent wisdom, insight?
I will let you know who I would say, after I think about it.
Well, intelligent means that the person learned a lot. Being insightful and full of wisdom doesn’t necessarily depend on exceptional intelligence, although it does help.
Now wasn’t that intelligent, insightful, or wise?

Intelligence is hard to judge on a forum. It could be a lot of people, though the Wolf and Popa immediately come to mind.

To be the most intelligent member of the CR is a dubious honor at best. It simply means that anyone with more intelligence than yourself wouldn’t be caught dead posting here. It means that you are not intelligent enough to not be here. It means that if you were a little bit more intelligent you would be more productive. Shall I go on?

I normally never post in popularity contest threads, even if I have an opinion, but I have a gun to my head right now. The person pointing the gun is telling me to say that ICOT is the most intelligent poster. Hopefully that will get him to put the gun down.

No. I really have nothing in common with intelligence. I just wanted to see how the main page looks with the question “who is the most intelligent poster”, and the answer in the next column ..(ZeesKite), if only for a few minutes. Until the next poster comes and claims that place.

Thank you both. To answer Wanderingchana’s question – – oomis is an affectionate nickname my oldest son gave me. I am called “Ema” in our household, and about 10 years ago, my son started to call each of us “oo-is” names (so Abba became “oobis” and so forth, if there were an Avraham or Shmuel in the family, the names would be Avroomis and Shmoolis.) We are back to Ema and Abba, but I kept the name for my computer use.
So I guess Oomis took that place

I really think that it depends on the issue being discussed. I’ve seen some people write brilliant posts on some issues and not such brilliant posts on others.
Also, I don’t usually notice who writes which post unless I comment on it, so it’s hard to decide :).

sam2 is definetly up there , i dont always agree with his haskafic point of veiw but its usually not too far off…
Has anyone else noticed that in this thread people are mostly judging intelligence by whether or not they agree with those posters’ outlook on life and Judaism? I found it very ironic, actually.
Good point Sam2. But while I personally disagree with many things said by certain posters, I believe they are articulate and intelligent. Nonetheless, your point is well-taken.
