Today is a very big day! klal yisroel has to daven and pray for geullah! any ideas on how we can change for the better?
instead of sitting on YWN say tehillim or something constructive.
Try being mekabel not touching your cell phone during davening, tried it and it has worked well. THe first few days were hard, but it gets easier and easier as the days go by.
Whatshaiches: Your right, i was davening shachris the other day in shul and i saw a guy that was texting the whole davening. The world is crazy.
Why is this a “very big day?”
TURN OFF THE CELL PHONE UNTIL AFTER DAVENING and you will never have a problem.
You have posted an excessive number or requests to the moderators. have patience, go get a cup of coffee (one for me also – no sugar and 2% milk) and all posts will be reviewed and either approved or deleted. YW Moderator-72
yossiea: because the zohar says moshiach is supposed to come today.
yros, source please.
zohar. I don’t learn it but this what people say.
didn’t he say the zohar?
intellegent: What are you trying to ask?
intellegent, that’s not how you cite a source.
If that were the case, the Zohar supposedly says lots of things. I have a spam folder full of emails that supposedly come from the zohar or someother holy man/book.
I wasn’t trying to ask. I asked.
I just didn’t chap what you meant.
Today’s the big day.
I heard that Rav Shmuel Berenbaum tz”l used to say that on all other days of Chanuka the bochrim go home early to light but on the last day they stay the entire second seder to learn. “Ah, Zos Chanuka” (This is Chanuka, learning the whole second seder.)
It’s a powerful day!
because theres a full afternoon seder
Zos Chanukah, rabbosai!!
Rabbi Ashear said you are allowed to daven for nissim on Chanukah. (Don’t know the source he used.)
