Two Police Officers Respond To Emergency In Meah Shearim – Bottles & Rocks Fly, Children Scream Nazi! [VIDEO]

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Two police officers who were dispatched to an emergency in Meah Shearim got treated the way all police officers and soldiers are treated in that holy neighborhood.

Police were responding to a report of a family dispute which may have resulted in violence. A male and female officer were dispatched and walked into the Meah Shearim Shuk. They were immediately greeted with bottles, rocks and diapers being thrown at them. As is customary in Meah Shearim, the children joined in the welcoming of the officers by screaming “Nazi” at them.

The female officer suffered a light injury from a rock thrown at her.

Following the unprovoked attack, heavy reinforcements arrived in the area to search for the suspect. They too were called “Nazi” and yelled at.

  1. This is what we call sick people at best, animals is a more accurate description. To think how much Tzedokah money, from all corners of the world, is sent to support the people living in these neighborhoods, it is sickening.

  2. IF THE POLICE WERE CALLED FOR AN EMERGENCY WHY DID THEY STOP WALKING AND JUST STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING. WHY DON’T THEY CONTINUE TO THE EMERGENCY? ISN’T THIS A PROOF THAT THE WHOLE EMERGENCY IS A FAKE AND THE ONLY THING THEY WANT IS TO INSTIGATE AGAINST THE CHARIEDIM?

  3. Considering the historical brutality of the police against the residents of the area, why is this a surprise? Just the other day five policemen were suspended and are being investigated for the unprovoked beating of a hareidi man. The police have never used their stink cannons against any other protesters other than hareidim. In general, the Israeli public does not have a high regard for the police. All this notwithstanding, they should not have thrown rocks.

  4. when I first came to Israel I used to believe that the people in Meah Shariim were so holy and righteous. I was fooled by their dress style.

Today after living in Jerusalem for 40 years, I have come to regard them as ignoramouses who have not the slightest idea what it is to be a Jew, what it means to learn Torah, what it means to act as a Torah Jew. I find them nothing more than animals who dress like people.

Shame that it took me so many years to realize the truth.

  5. Um mayerfruend actually No. i would be so bold as to claim that a 1:25 amateur video does not prove that they entered the neighborhood for nefarious purposes. I assume you weren’t serious and you were just coming to mock those attacking the police.

  6. Mayerfreund…. wow… I’m not sure where to even begin. With your self-opinionated judgement of others, I can imagine that Hashem will ask “why did Mayer just stand around all year when there were mitzvos to complete”.

  7. i see many comments spreading a myth that the skunk spray hasn’t been used against Palestinians. i wonder were you got that info since it’s reported all over that it has been used routinely against them as a matter of fact it was first used against palistinian protesters in August 2008 in the Palestinian village of Ni’lin in the West Bank.

It’s been reported that US police dept.including St Louis have begun purchasing the spray from the Israelis at it is a non lethal safe and effective means of crowd control

  8. 1) mayerfreund – Are you out of your mind?? There are objects being thrown at police officers and you want them to just continue as if nothing happened. 2) Why do fell the need to scream your comments to everyone. Obviously you like these sort of things happening as it shows your lack of maturity to have “fun” with them.

    3) It is sadly a big shame that this is what they are teaching their “Children” to do to a fellow yid. I live “out of town” (as you New Yorkers so eloquently put it) and see the hatred first hand how the less Frum than us look at us. I sometimes can see their point ,unfortunately, when I see how the Frum treat other Yidden and teach their children to treat other Yidden like this. To be called “Nazis”??!! That’s what you want your children calling other Yidden. Maybe that’s one of the reasons that the arabs (and yevanim – greeks) were and are able to have so much power of us and kill our fellow Yidden because we are doing the same thing and teaching our children to do the same to each other.

  9. karl, Several reasons they send women police officers to domestic calls.
    1. to comfort and help women that may be abused
    2. to get the attention of frum abusive men by causing them to lust so that they will be distracted from their wives and thus allow the wives to be rescued
    3. to fill the quota of police officers necessary to ensure public safety inasmuch as the men are too busy learning to work
4, to keep abusive men and their friends away from the incident by threatening to touch the men

  10. KarlbenMarx – duh. If it was a domestic dispute, do you think these thugs would allow a male officer to touch the wife?

It seems there have been quite a few cases of domestic strife in this heilige slum recently. I wonder how many wives and children are beaten up and what else goes on behind closed doors.

  11. A real shame that the “frum yiden” of Yerushalaim, who claim to be “Shomrei Hachomos” and “Niturei Karta” act this way! No wonder there is so much hatred in the Jewish world.

  12. This video shows shameful behavior. BUT I’m not sure what the real story is. When I was in Israel I found both sides loved to rile each other up, with the police instigating the people of Mesh Shaerim too. I believe both sides enjoy the action.
