Break-In In The Jerusalem Home Of Rav Shmuel Eliyahu Results In Police Probe Into Possible Plot Against The Rav

The home owned by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita in the Jewish Quarter of Yerushalayim was broken into on Monday night. The family was summoned to the home on Tuesday morning 1 Rosh Chodesh Elul, and they were surprised to learn that the burglar installed a new lock in the door, which police feel might have been intended for a future effort to take over the home.

It appears the Arab who broke in is known to the family and police. The home was purchased from the Old City Development Company by the rav about four years ago.
