Youths Board Jerusalem School Bus, Create A Ruckus And Refuse To Pay


Four youths, all minors, boarded a Jerusalem bus on Thursday morning 16 Elul, created a ruckus and refused to pay. They began cursing the driver and acting unorderly. The four were heading home after a day of school.

The security officer of the bus company filed a complaint with police, explaining since the beginning of the year there has been a group of boys who simply refuse to cooperate. They regularly create a disturbance on the bus.

Police detained the youths, ages 13-to-15, notifying their parents and social services.

Since the beginning of this school year the boys return home on a regular line that serves exclusively as a school bus. As soon as they board, the trouble begins according to witnesses, adding at times the youths refuse to pay.

The youths were released with restrictions to the custody of their parents and social services were brought up to date.

  1. I have seen this happen often, but it has rarely been with boys of chassidic or litvik backgrounds not paying who are generally very quiet. I have seen however frum men get on the back doors and NOT pay.
