A ten-year-old boy was trapped inside a trash can in Beit Shemesh on Tuesday evening on Ben Azzai street. Utilizing specialized rescue machinery and incredible care, firefighters extricated the boy from the trash canister without injury. Following the boy’s rescue, EMS teams in the field looked the boy over for injury before bringing him to a local clinic for further check-ups.
Firefighters who were dispatched to the scene found the boy inside the trash can with his feet stuck to the bottom of the canister. The boy was panicking from fear and stress. Firefighters spoke with the boy throughout the entire process and managed to calm him down while they worked to rescue him. Once they freed his feet from the garbage can, the boy was removed completely from the canister without injury.
