222,000 Israeli Students At Home Due To Soaring Virus Rate

As Israel launched its vaccination campaign on Sunday on the background of a soaring virus infection rate, about 220,000 Israeli students in fifth to 12 grade in red and orange zones didn’t return to school on Sunday morning following Chanukah vacation due to the spread of the pandemic.

The Health Ministry confirmed 1,866 new coronavirus cases on Sunday morning, with testing showing a 3.1% positivity rate. There are currently 24,077 active virus patients, of whom 447 are seriously ill and 110 are ventilated. The death toll has risen to 3,074.

The coronavirus cabinet convened on Sunday morning to discuss further restrictions to combat the rise in infection rate in recent weeks.

There are currently 61 red zones in Israel, 83 orange zones, and 123 yellow zones.

Some of the locales that changed from orange to red as of Sunday morning are Bnei Brak, Beitar Illit, Elad, Givat Zeev, and the Jerusalem neighborhoods of French Hill, Givat Hamivtar, Har HaTzfoim, Kiryat HaYovel, Ramat Sharett, Holyland and Malcha.

  1. What do they mean by “infection rate”??

Do they mean people with serious symptoms, or people that just happen to sneeze, or do they mean people that tested positive to some test with no symptoms at all?

    How significant are these tests?

How many people died in Israel during the past ten months and how many died during the same period of the previous year.

Could someone please publish these very relevant statistics?

If there was no significant increase then what we have is not a corona pandemic but a hysteria pandemic.

Why don’t the authorities publish this very important information so that the public can be aware of the true situation?

    Are they hiding something?
