A remarkable scene of achdus took place tonight in Yerushalayim as the two largest Magidei Shiur in the world — R’ Sruly Bornstein (DBS / Daf Biyun Shiur) and R’ Eli Stefansky (MDY) — danced together at the DBS grand Siyum on Seder Nezikin.
Between the two powerhouse chaburos, tens of thousands learn the Daf every single day — making this joint celebration an extraordinary moment for the global Daf Yomi community.
R’ Eli Stefansky traveled to Yerushalayim to personally join R’ Sruly Bornstein and the DBS chabura in their simcha, highlighting a powerful display of unity within Torah learning.
Tonight’s Siyum on Seder Nezikin was attended by HaGaon HaRav Dovid Cohen, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron, who delivered divrei chizuk. The event was part of the Yerushalayim Yarchei Kallah, joined by 120 talmidim of R’ Sruly Bornstein.
A truly uplifting evening — Daf Yomi Achdus at its finest.

I listened to both of them giving their class.
Torah is not about grandiose and materialism…
Being a Frum Yid requires humility…

Beis Dovid, you hit the nail right on the head.
Yasher Koach.
Beis,
These two individuals have caused tens of thousands to learn and love Torah daily. I’ve had the privilege to meet R. Eli and found him to be quite humble; I’m sure R. Sruly is also.
Can you say the same on either count?
Beis David,
what a disgusting remark! These two tzaddikim have enabled so many yidden to become attached to Torah learning. It sounds to me like you are a bitter and jealous person. I would recommend you see a mental health professional and work on your middos!
Beis David
I can tell you that Reb Eli wants nothing more than to bring more Yidden to Torah. And I’m sure that’s true of Reb Sruli as well. And they’ve accomplished that big time. Thanks to them, thousands of yidden have brought more Torah into their lives.
You don’t like their shiurim? Totally fine. They’re not for everyone. But bashing such amazing people online like that? That tells me you need to get a life!
