Does anyone have some good ideas for summer recipes?

My daughter makes a really delicious cold london broil salad, with strips of the meat and lots of salad ingredients, with a balsamic vinegar dressing. PERFECT for Shabbos lunch on a hot day!

I got this dessert recipe for Summer S’mores Pie from the kosherology blog (exploretheworldofkosher.com). Its really good. He’s also got some other good looking recipes for summer like ribs in a crockpot, some salads, and pink eggs!

    Ingredients:

    1 whole Egg

    1 teaspoon Vanilla

    1 cup Flour

    1 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs

    1 teaspoon Baking Powder

7 oz. Container Of Marshmallow Cream

2-3 dark chocolate bars (broken into squares)

    1 cup Mini-Marshmallows

    Method:

In a large bowl beat butter and sugar together until combined, then add egg and vanilla and stir them in. Stir in flour, graham cracker crumbs and baking powder.

Divide the dough in half. Press half the dough in the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie pan. Evenly spread the Marshmallow Cream over the bottom crust. Separate chocolate squares and place on top of the Marshmallow Cream. Place 1 cup of marshmallows on top.

Using the remaining crust, pat sections of dough on top of and around all the marshmallows (they will still show through and that is great!). Sprinkle with 1/4 cup chocolate chips, then bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.

Remove pan from oven and set it on a wire rack. Cool completely before cutting.

    Popa’s summer bbq recipe:

    Light bbq.

    Put meat on.

    Turn meat over.

    Take meat off.

    That’s a grill, not a BBQ.

DY’s favorite summer recipe: put chocolate ice cream and milk in a blender (the less milk, the better). Blend.

It is too a bbq. You do it in a smoker, over applewood chips.

Notice I didn’t say to light the grill!

You have to say that in the recipe!

Now I’m not sure, when you invite me to your place, if I want Chicago style deep dish pizza, or a BBQ.

I’ve moved beyond chicago style pizza. I got a pizza stone and one of those wooden paddles they use in the pizza shops, and now it’s NY style pizza, for the win.

I can get that in NY.

Okay, so fleishigs it’ll be. 🙂
