Does anyone here ever have a problem that they just cant think of anything to give a parent on their birthday???

I've been thinking for ages but my dad simply has everything including a charming son!!!

Seriously though what can I buy him any ideas???

noitallmr- If you do not have your Family Tree done and can afford it how about getting your parent or parents DNA. done. If you click on familytree.com, there are many options for you to decide. This is a very original and Special Birthday Present you can give to your Parent or maybe Parents . Genealogy is very popular in England.

buy him a subscription to the coffee room. for the right price, we will even send a nice certificate suitable for framing.

Happy Birthday to rebetzin squeak! She gets a balloon from me, but not more than one or she'd float away.

Happy birthday Ames and thank you for your brochot!! May you have many more in health and happiness.
I did not get anything for my birthday. The older I get, the less I want to celebrate!!
Ames, some dads don't want to deal with some new hi-tech gadget. I don't even think my dad know how to turn on a computer!!

Thanks for the suggestions people but he litterally has all the tech and ties you could want. Was looking for something more roginal that he wont have...family trees not bad but anything else?

Seriously, though. Since you are from the UK, I'd gather that you live in a place with a questionable eruv. As such how about cufflink watches

Ha Ha 39- nice one. I could see you really know your stuff- none of your fellow yanks chapped that one!!! Good!

Bike? Nap- he prefers his LS460...

Tee shirt- um um not exactly!

Ticket to the game? Ha Ha

Card with no gift- that is probably the most practical- appreciated buddy!

Mod 39, tut! tut! naughty! calling that erev questionable. The one you refer to is 100% kosher halachaclly it's just that some Rabbonim do not allow the use of it for a multitude of reasons most of which are politcal.

Oh gosh what have I let myself in for now... Please don't go down that route to reply.

Anyway back to birthday presents sometimes just a photo framed and sent with love is worth more than all the presents in the world.

ames- nice one but then again I think he'd much rather a huge over- sized painting of me.

    Will think about it!

the boost in income along with $1.50 can get a small coffee at the 7-11. so the answer is, I'll have the coffee.
