Special Bottles Of Wine From Hagaon Rav Chaim Kanievsky To Be Given To All Attendees Of Exclusive Fundraiser

All attending the upcoming exclusive fundraiser event this coming Sunday, will be receiving a ‘Gebenched’ bottle of wine from Hagaon Rav Chaim Kanievsky, TLS reports. In addition to the raffle of a personally inscribed Siddur from Hagaon Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, each attendee will be receiving their own gift to take home, a small bottle of wine from a Siyum Hashas of Rav Chaim Kanievsky.

The wine, ‘Yayin HaYeshuos’, is said to be a Segulah for Refuah, Parnassah and Bracha V’hatzlacha.

The reception is to benefit Mosdos BaYom Hashishi, the Kollel of the father of Bnei Brak’s Foreign Affairs Commissioner, R’ Eli Hoder.

R’ Eli Hoder is a close confidant of Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman and Rav Chaim Kanievsky – and the right hand man to Bnei Brak’s Mayor Rabbi Yaakov Asher.

  1. Tamimm tihiyeh im Hashem Elokecha, or a bottle of wine from a gadol? Apparently the modern understanding of segulos precludes talmud torah and tefilla? Last time I checked the Ribono Shel Oilam gave us Teshuva, tefilla and tzedaka to be maavir a gezeira not special blessed bottles of wine

  2. Hard to believe this story. Sounds like something the Baba Sali zt”l would’ve done, not the ybl”c litvishe R’ Kanievsy Shlita.

  3. who decided that this is “the wine of health, money, and blessings”? r’ chaim or the fundraiser???. I really think its just a present for all attendees with no segula to it so come, donate, get a bottle of wine, drink n’ enjoy! (you could save the bottle after finnishing the wine it has a nice picture on it) and the main thing is NO DRIVING AFTER DRINKING. exept if you also get the siddur that is maybe a segula for not making accidents……..

  4. What does it mean a “Gebenched bottle”? The very fact that one is giving tzedaka is a segula, chazal already told us tzedaka tatzil mimaves. What exactly are they adding to the words of chazal and how are they adding by giving out “Gebenched” wine.

I am almost afraid to say this, but all that is missing is a gebenched wafer.

  5. Last night I got a bottle of wine from the Munkacher Rebbe Shlitta at a Chasuna. It was absolutly free. But again, no one promised any segulos either.
