Democratic Mayoral candidate Sal Albanese is bringing his campaign up to the Catskills. Following a Erev Shabbos tour along 13th avenue, in Borough Park, several weeks ago, Mr. Albanese is set to embark on a two day tour in the Jewish strongholds in upstate New York, where NYC’s Jewish voters reside during the summer.

Mr. Albanese chose, strategically, to expand his Jewish outreach all the way up to the Catskills on the weekend of Shabbos Nachmu, in what has become a trendy tradition of outgoing for most families, even those who remain safeguarding the City during the summer months of July and August.

According to a campaign release, Mr. Albanese will be joined by his wife Lorraine for a full schedule of events starting Thursday evening and going into the late hours of Friday afternoon.

Below is the schedule of events as released by the Albanese campaign:

Thursday, 8:45 p.m.: Sal and Lorraine greet customers at Feller’s Four Corner Pizza Restaurant, 14 Green Avenue, Woodridge, NY

Thursday, 9:30 p.m.: Sal and Lorraine greet customers at Fialkoff’s Kosher Pizza Restaurant, 250 E. Broadway, Monticello, NY

Friday, 10:30 a.m.: Sal and Lorraine visit Giti Gardens, Glen Wild Road, Woodridge, NY and Avon-Riverside Estates, 1 River Rd, Woodridge, NY

Friday, 11:30 a.m.: Sal meets with Lubavitch leaders at Camp Emunah, Greenfield Park, NY

  1. A few corrections. Woodridge Kosher Pizza has two locations. The one at 14 Green Ave is called Fellers Woodridge Kosher Pizza. There is another location located in Fallsburg at the “Four Corners” called Sprinkels. Sounds like it’s the one in Woodridge where Sal will do the meet and greet and NOT the one at the “four corners”.

It’s not called Purple Pear North anymore. It’s now named “Circa in the Country”.

It will be a mad house at center one tomorrow afternoon like it is every erev shabbos in the summer. So he should be able to greet many shoppers.
