The town of Fleischmanns in Delaware County, has been hit very hard by the flooding caused by Hurricane Irene. The flooding caused the tragic death of Leah Stern A”H. There remained another 16 people who were stranded in the area with no means of getting help, due to the flooded roads. Thankfully, one community activist and philanthropist, who wishes to remain anonymous, flew three helicopters from New York City to Fleischmanns to rescue them.
YWN has learned, that Boruch Hashem the mission went without problems, and they landed in Manhattan a short while ago.
