5:25PM EST: The NYPD is investigating a hate crime in Williamsburg, YWN has learned.
Williamsburg Shomrim received numerous reports of Mezuzos burned off the doorposts of homes inside the “Taylor Houses”, at 85 Taylor Street. Upon their arrival, they found more than 11 homes with their Mezuzos burned.
The NYPD was immediately called, a crime scene has been secured, and an investigation is underway.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit has been notified, and is responding.
