Memorial Day is the day that we honor our fallen heroes, who fought valiantly to protect our freedom.

In 1971, Congress voted that Memorial Day should be observed on the last Monday in May, instead of the original date of May 30. This created an extended weekend for all patriotic Americans to gather with family and friends, visit amusement parks, and drink beer. To honor our heroes, of course!

  2. shazam says:

Think about it as a day of hakoras hatov to a malchus shel chesed. And also think about the fact that many of the soldiers, including the ones who gave their lives to defent the malchus, were Yidden.

  3. Yatzmich says:

What better way could there be to honor our veterans then by engaging in free enterprise ang going to work, which is essentially what they all fought for!
