An IDF military court on Tuesday (Sept. 13) sentenced Hakim Awad, 18, of the community of Awarta, to five consecutive life sentences plus five years for the massacre of the Fogel family of Itamar in March 2011.
Justice Major Menachem Lieberman commented when handing down the sentence, speaking of the absolute horror surrounding the act, calling it “shocking to the conscience, leaving civilized people open mouthed”.
The convicted terrorist did not express any remorse for his actions, the murders of Udi (36), Ruth (35), Yoav (11), Elad (3), and Hadas (3 months) HY”D.

This will be in effect until the spineless in the government use him in a prisoner swap.
Since he was acting politically, probably “under orders” from someone, he’ll probably end up being exchanged. If the Israelis want him for more than a trading bait for their prisoners, they should executed him (as it is he’s already a hero to the Palestinians, so making him a martyr won’t be a problem).
I can’t believe the Israelis will spend good Yiddishe money on this piece of dirt. Why wouldn’t they kill him? Who needs this in jail?

A firing squad would be so much more appropriate,
and a handful of bullets is so much cheaper than
paying for this guy in prison.
Does Israel have a death penalty? If not they should institute one for terrorists. That may help somewhat to serve as a deterrent and even if it doesn’t at least we don’t have to waste all that money keeping him locked up for the next 50 years or so.
He was a minor when he committed the murders, so he would not be eligible for the death penalty in any case. But have no fear. This-worldly punishment is child’s play. When his time comes to peger, the malachei chabala will rip him apart and roast him.
