Sunday Evening Recap Of Southern Area Warfare

17:15: A Kassam rocket lands in a field south of Ashkelon. No injuries or damage reported.

The IDF Homefront Command has decided to lower the alert level and is permitting southern areas schools to open on Monday, 3 Cheshvan. Nevertheless, Ashkelon and Gan Yavne officials have announced their schools will remain closed until further notice.

21:21: Another rocket landed in an open field in the Chof Ashkelon Regional Council. No injuries or damage reported.

JERUSALEM DISTRICT: Seven firebombs were hurled at border police in the Silwan area. At least one burst into flames which were extinguished without injuries.
