MDA Scraps Planned Service Cuts in Yehuda & Shomron

Magen David Adom announces that despite earlier reports to the contrary, it will not be drastically reducing operations in areas of Yehuda and Shomron until the end of the Gregorian year as planned.

MDA officials announced that due to a lack of Health Ministry funding, it would be compelled to close some stations in those areas. MDA Chief of Operations Eli Bin explains the ministry owes the EMS provider 6 million NIS and he was left helpless as the organization is out of funds. 6

However, following the intervention of Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, a deal was reached and Bin has assured relevant government officials that EMS service will continue throughout Yehuda and Shomron.
