WATCH: 2 Term African American President Accuses US Society of being ‘Deeply Racist’

timthumbPresident Obama recently conducted an interview with a popular African American television network. He discussed topics ranging from Ferguson, Eric Garner, to the civil unrest  gripping the country.

The President came out swinging as he labeled the US of being a country of racists; and of having deep roots in racism. This comes after Obama won two US general elections with the popular vote of  58,720,700 in 2012 and  65,182,692 in 2008!
“This is something that is deeply rooted in our society, it’s deeply rooted in our history,” Mr. Obama said in the interview with BET. “When you’re dealing with something as deeply rooted as racism or bias … you’ve got to have vigilance but you have to recognize that it’s going to take some time, and you just have to be steady so you don’t give up when we don’t get all the way there.”

  1. The proof is they elected a president who was only half black (and culturally white, having been raised exclusively by his mother’s family). What will he say if Ben Carson or Alan West is the Republican nominee in 2016?

  2. Saying that the racism which exists in our society is deeply rooted is not the same as saying that the society as a whole is deeply racist at this time.

There certainly is a certain amount of racism in our society, and that is certainly deeply rooted – it did not show up yesterday, and it will not disappear tomorrow. That is not to say that the society as a whole is currently ‘deeply racist’, which is not necessarily so.

Therefore, I don’t think that the president was calling the society as a whole ‘deeply racist’.

    Chachamim Hizaharu. Thx.

  3. Using the racist card “is something that is deeply rooted in our society, it’s deeply rooted in our history,” Mr. Obama said in the interview with BET. “When you’re dealing with something as deeply rooted as [claiming] racism or bias … you’ve got to have vigilance but you have to recognize that it’s going to take some time, and you just have to be steady so you don’t give up when we don’t get all the way there.”

Right back at you Mr. President.

  4. “deeply racist”, “This is something that is deeply rooted in our society, it’s deeply rooted in our history,”

Yah, just like your full speed ahead foreign policy.
and it’s gonna “take some time”, just enough time huh.

    witch.

  5. NOW he talks about racism? Just know that the USA is beginning to feel like a police state. Obama is lame duck, but needs $$ millions to build his presidential library legacy…

  6. Can someone explain to me how a country as “racist” as the United States voted a black man as our president two consecutive terms. Am I missing something?

  7. how racist could this mostly white, mostly religious country be if they elected a black atheist, career troublemaker to run the country only to have him run it into the ground and then elect him again to make sure this country never gets out of the toilet?
