8 Months Following the Har Nof Attack, Rav Eitan Mualmi Returns for a Seudas Hodayah

hntEight months after being listed among the seriously wounded in the terrorist attack in Kehillos Bnei Torah in Yerushalayim’s Har Nof neighborhood, Rav Eitan Mualmi walked back into shul unassisted to participate in his seudas hodayah.

A Sefer Torah has already been donated in memory of the kedoshim HY”D HaRav Moshe Twersky, Rav Aryeh Kupinsky, Rav Kalman Ze’ev Levine and R’ Avraham Goldberg.

The heinous terror attack occurred on the morning of November 18, 2014. Also murdered in the attack was policeman Staff-Sgt. Major Zidan Sayif, married with two children.

Rav Eitan remained hospitalized fighting for his life in Hadassah Ein Kerem for five months. Now, with family members and friends at his side, he returned to the shul reciting Nishmas Kol Chai (נשמת כל חי) with visible emotion as he held a seuda to thank HKBH for his recovery.

Rav David Yosef Shlita was among the rabbonim present as was paramedic Nissan Chafetz, one of the medics who treated Rav Eitan at the scene.

Rav Eitan used the forum to tell of his experience, how he battled to live and to recover.
