Statement from PM Netanyahu in Wake of the Murder of Ali Darawshe Killed In Arson Attack

20150731022903Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on erev Shabbos Nachamu issued the following statement in response to the suspected price tag attack in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Duma, leading to the death of Ali Darawshe and the injuring of his parents and 4-year-old brother. Some of them sustained serious burns over their entire bodies and remain in very serious condition in Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.

Mr. Netanyahu said “I am shocked over this reprehensible and horrific act. This is an act of terrorism in every respect. The State of Israel takes a strong line against terrorism regardless of who the perpetrators are. I have ordered the security forces to use all means at their disposal to apprehend the murderers and bring them to justice forthwith. The government of Israel is united in its strong opposition to such deplorable and awful acts. On behalf of the citizens of Israel, I would like to share in the sorrow of the family of Ali Dawabsha and wish a quick recovery to the family members who were injured.”

  1. maybe if mr abbas was as forceful in his condemnation of arab terror and maybe if he were truly interested in promoting peace then maybe the other side would not look to take care of business themselves. but sad to say its a country where the arabs do what they want with the encouragement of their leaders and noone tries to stop it

  2. This was a horrible crime and it’s very sad to see the sweet child injured because of this violence, terrorism, not “price tag.”
It is with shame that I read that the perpetrators could be Jews.

We must thank HaShem that the many fire bombs and fireworks thrown and targeted at Jews do not cause such damage, usually.
I felt so sad when we first returned to Israel, last December, and read about the young, about 11 year old girl, almost bas mitzvah, who had life threatening burns and disfiguring scars from a firebomb thrown at her parents’ car by Arab terrorists.
UN Chief EU head, US State Dept. did not bother to condemn that act, because they are such frequent occurrences when they are Jewish victims.
