Monsey: Suspects Arrested For Breaking Into More Than 25 Vehicles


0210The suspects responsible for breaking into more than 25 vehicles the last few weeks in the Monsey and Spring Valley area were arrested Sunday afternoon.

Chaverim of Rockland told YWN that they received a phone call earlier Sunday from a resident of Spring Valley that they are missing an iPad from their car, Chaverim pinged the device the track its current location. It was showing that the device was moving in the area of Ewing Ave at the corner of N Pascack Road.

Chaverim responded to the location and immediately notified Spring Valley Police.

Chaverim easily identified the 2 suspects from security camera footage where they were captured on camera stealing from vehicles on Friday nights the past 2 weeks. Chaveirim followed them from a safe distance while police responded. Realized they were being followed, the 2 suspects ran into the woods. After a brief pursuit they were both arrested thanks to pictures given to Police from camera footage.

Spring Valley Policy tells Chaverim that the 2 suspects are part of an organized ring that target the Monsey & Spring Valley area on Friday night’s.

Chaverim tell YWN that it anyone had anything stolen from them, it’s crucial to file a police report so it can possibly be returned.

Chaverim made mention of special thanks to the dedicated Spring Valley Police Department for working round the clock to resolve this case.
