Banana-Orange Shake

(Thursday, October 28th, 2010)

This is a special treat. You may think that ice cream and sherbet belongs to the summer but if you like it as much as I do, you know it’s a year-round thing! I like to focus on the fact that it is a good source of vitamin C, calcium and potassium and not on the calorie count (which actually isn’t that bad either).

½ cup milk

½ cup orange juice

1 cup orange sherbet

1 large banana, chopped

½ cup orange sherbet

Place milk, juice, 1 cup sherbet and banana in a blender. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth.  Pour into 2 tall glasses.  Garnish each with another ¼ cup sherbet.  Serve immediately.
