On Purim we say ???? ??? ???? ????? on Chanukah there is argument between Beis Shamai and Beis Hilel how to light. Is the destructiion of our enemies or salvation of us greater? The gematria for Purim is the same, but ???? is greater than ??? indicating that he diminished, whereas ???? is less than ????? indicating he was elevated. The Beis Hilel emphasizes the elevation of the spirit whereas the Beis Shamai the dimishment of the phisical and material. The Maasei Hashem says on the Haggadah of Pesach on ????’? ?????? ???? and HKBH saves us from their hands, saving is greater than destruction. Saving proofs that Hashem loves us, but their destruction does not prove we are good only that they are bad.
