On the eve of the transition it is most appropriate for us to express our Hakaras Hatov to the President of the United States of America, Donald John Trump, for his lifetime of friendship of, and love for, Yidden. He’s spent his life, both before entering politics and as President, going far out of his way to help the Jewish People as a whole and individual Yidden in private, even when there was no spot light and his chasodim often remained unknown to the public at large. Of course as President his numerous acts of Ahavas Yisroel are widely known by virtue of his position as Leader of the Free World.

    Thank You Mr. President!

He was good to the Jews by giving might and strength to the white supremacists, through not speaking out clearly against them, having them think that Trump is there friend and advocate of their cause.

    ujm,

You did not mention Hashem even once. You did not thank Hashem.

You have not learned the lesson that Hashem has, is and always will be running the world.

I pray that we can all inculcate into our lives the lesson that Hashem is running the world and not be boteach in a basar v’dam.

reb eliezer, tell it ot the NYTimes and CNN who has been touting this lie about him the day of the nomination, and every republican in the country, to an uneducated public that believes this garbage. They said he was a friend to the cause, loudly, repeatedly, everyday.
The guy has been in the media for longer than most have been alive, and this is all news to most of us.

What I said is a Chasan Sofer on the Hagadah. The rasha hides tbe fact he is a rasha, so the others sitting at the same table should not beat him to a pulp. The chacham acting as one, uses similar expression eschem to exclude himself from the group in order that the rasha should think that the chacham is his advocate, so he reveals himself directly by saying I am also a rasha.

“He was good for the Jews…”
For many of us, there is more than a few substantive actions offset by a bunch of token and symbolic actions whose long0-term benefits have yet to be validated, to be “good for the jews”. Indeed, as recent events have shown, no President has done more to fan the flames of racism and anti-Semitism than the cholera who just left the WH. We have political leaders like Cuomo who make stupid and tone-deaf comments which play on anti-semitic tropes. And we have politicians who deliberately seek to exploit long-standing ethnic and religious hatreds for the own political ends. Hopefully, President Biden will have the strength and courage to push back against the extremists of his own party and find a middle ground that works for all Americans, yidden and goyim alike.

Rebbe Eliezer, Carl Marx was Jewish. Bernie Saunders is Jewish. Kamala Harris’ husband is Jewish, even when he was in church this morning. What’s your point of hiring Jewish cabinet members? Jewish to some simply means lox and cream cheese.

It means that Biden will not encourage anti-semites as Trump did.

The Proud Boys, and lots of white supremist anti-Semitic groups, think Trump supports them. You Jews who think Trump is your friend, and those anti-Semites, cannot both be right.

Aren’t some of the jews (either in U.S. or Israel) who protest anti-semitism the most, also anti-religious, anti-Shabbos, anti-mila, anti-shechita, anti-kashrut, and Pro “other practices”?

Why would I care what they think? If they think Trump hates Jews they’re just delusional.

As opposed to Trump who doesn’t want to have anything to do with Jews?

Umen. I may not like the guy, but I do appreciate the things he’s done for us. And I do recognize that it’s unlikely many of these things would have gotten done under a Democrat.

Changing the dynamics of the Middle East so that 4 countries are openly allied with Isreal in a warm peace is not “token or symbolic”.

It took determination, hard effort, a willingness to ignore the liberal establishment led by the NY TIMES, WaPo, Ben Rhodes, John Kerry & others who openly mocked and fact checked it.

And its success ultimatley will most certainly save thousands of Jewish Lives.

Openly working to isolate the Palestinans within the Arab world until they are willing to make reasonable demands.

    Is not “token”.

    It saves lives.

    When was the last “intifadeh”?

How many times did the Isrealis have to go into Gaza before Trump?

Appointing an Ambassador specifically in charge of fighting Anti-Semitisim is not “token”, it’s a strong sign of exactly what the US priorities are.

Anyone who fails to realize the incredible efforts the Trump administration made that strongly advanced the cause of Peace in the Middle East and benefited the Jewish People portrays a breathtaking level of ignorance.
