We are not guided by G-d directly from a prophet so you can’t say oh this is what G-d wants and fallow it without thinking so I wouldn’t put it in the same category simply cuz the circumstances are different. I think tho each person needs to ask himself what G-d wants from him and what he is called to do maybe in that sense it would be similar
