A group of Israeli civilians identified as members of the Eliezer Berland cult, illegally entered the area of Kever Yosef in Shechem during the night between Thursday and Friday, without authorization and without coordination, in violation of the law. During their presence at the site, confrontations reportedly broke out with local Palestinians.

According to assessments, while exiting the area toward early morning, one of the vehicles used by the group struck a Palestinian. The injured Palestinian was evacuated to a hospital in Shechem suffering from fractures in both legs. At this stage, his medical condition remains unknown.

Following the incident, the vehicle used by the Israelis was seized by Palestinian security forces. Members of the group managed to exit Shechem, and later, some of those involved were detained and arrested by Israel Police and brought in for questioning.

The IDF Spokesperson addressed the incident, stating:

“During the night, a number of Israeli civilians deliberately entered the area of the city of Nablus in the Samaria Brigade sector, without authorization. The civilians ran over a Palestinian, who was injured and evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital. Subsequently, the Israelis disembarked from the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The vehicle was seized and will be transferred to the Civil Administration soon. IDF forces arrested several Israeli civilians, who were transferred for further handling by Israel Police. We emphasize that entry of Israeli civilians into Area A is dangerous and prohibited by law.”
