Shimon’s territory consisted of isolated cities within Yehuda. So how did it come to be that Shimon ended up with the Aseres HaShevatim? Did they all pick up and leave their ancestral lands when the kingdom split? Were they somehow a set of northern enclaves within Yehuda? And if so, how did it end up that they were exiled with the shevatim by the Assyrians?

Thw shevatim represent every month of the year. When you were born is which “shevet” you are part of. The shavatim flags represents the constelations of the month of the year
If you look of personality of specific shevatim, or “purpous” you will see peoples months align with their nature.When it talks about mashiach being the “tribe of Judah” it was talking about a personality figure more then anything.
Tribe of Judah, represents an entire constalation of specific personality traits that mashiach will embody@rescue The shevatim donโt represent the months. They arenโt constellations. They were actual live people. All non convert Jews are directly descended from one of the 12 sons of Yaakov Avinu.

I never said they weren’t real people. Hard to have an open mind about differant concepts. Isn’t itIt’s in divrei hayamim. They had a dispute with Dovid hamelech, and they moved somewhere east
Mashiach isnโt a concept. He will be a living human being. A direct descendant of Dovid Hamelech who was a direct descendant of Yehuda the son of Yaakov Avinu as clearly enumerated in the final pesukim of Megilas Rus. A person can have lots of middos in common with Yehuda but if he isnโt a direct paternal descendant he isnโt of Shevet Yehuda.
Mashiach is a person who will save humanity…..he will be form the tribe of Judah. Which in my understanding means he will embody the character traits of yehudah. That doesn’t mean he’s going to be Jewish. And anyways a Jewish person can’t be known across the world by everybody simply because it’s improbable
