The IDF revealed a major Hezbollah tunnel complex beneath the Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon, saying the site was planned and funded by Iran and served as a central Hezbollah hub just six kilometers (about 3.7 miles) from Metula.
Troops uncovered a roughly one-kilometer-long tunnel containing weapons, anti-tank missiles, living quarters, kitchens, and medical facilities. The IDF said the site was used to launch attacks against both Israeli civilians and IDF forces.
