U.S. Embassy in Israel Orders Staff to Shelter in Place, Closes Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Offices Amid Security Threats


The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has directed all U.S. government employees and their family members in Israel to shelter in place and be prepared to move to protected shelters in the event of a red alert, until further notice.

The U.S. Embassy in Yerushalayim and the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv will be closed on Monday, June 8, due to the current security situation and ongoing Home Front Command alerts across multiple regions.
