Marco Rubio Arrives in UAE as He Begins Gulf Tour Focused on Regional Security and U.S. Commitments to Allies

Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, touching down at Al Bateen Executive Airport as he begins a two-day Gulf tour at a sensitive moment for the region.

Rubio is scheduled to meet with leaders in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain, where he is expected to discuss regional security and seek to reassure Gulf allies of Washington’s commitment to their security following the U.S.-Iran ceasefire.
